China: Tiger Shark Circles Female Diver in Tense Underwater Encounter off Hainan

A female diver in Hainan, China, came face-to-face with a tiger shark on March 17, 2026. As the shark began circling her, nearby staff urgently signaled her to lie flat on the seabed. She followed the instructions and remained still until the shark eventually swam away. The diver was unharmed.
